In case you haven’t noticed, Dali’s Cafe is no longer in downtown Downers Grove.
Voula Verros, prior owner of Dali’s Cafe, has sold the restaurant apparently intending to focus more on Eggstacy, New Yolk New Yolk and a new burger restaurant.
Look for Kristinas Cafe to open up in the next two weeks.

The Downtown Downers Grove summer nights Classic Car Show will be returning, a sure sign that summer is right around the corner.
The show will occur every Friday, beginning on May 21st through August 27th, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. The only Friday with no car show will be July 16th.

The traditional Downtown Downers Grove YMCA Farmers Market is set to begin it’s 20th year very soon.
The farmers market will open Saturday May 8th, 2010 and run through Saturday, October 16th, 2010.

During this past Tuesday’s Village Council meeting, unanimous approval was given to have the Downers Grove Rotary put on their replacement Fest for the now defunked Heritage Fest for 2010.

We originally posted on Diamond Bank’s acquisition of Downers Grove National Bank back in November of 2009.
It seems that as of today, that deal has fallen through.
